Shorty was my very first horse. His breeder gifted him to me for Christmas when I was 14. I took him to college with me and to CO twice for some continuing education. We have done a bit of everything together, including jumping, going on a cattle drive, barrel racing, dressage, and liberty. He is currently enjoying his retirement hanging out with his pony, Elvis.
Arietta is one of my personal horses. She was also a gift from a friend right before I went to college. She is extremely sensitive and opinionated, and her work ethic is second to none. She excels at liberty and obstacle work. We have competed at numerous extreme obstacle competitions, combined training events, and dressage.
Melody has been a part of Hoofbeats in Harmony’s Horsemanship Academy since it started. She loves children and is extremely patient and forgiving. In addition to being an amazing lesson horse, she also has a special talent for untying knots, buckles, and other fastenings.
Elvis is our barn mascot. He is a tiny guy at 28in tall. He is very confident and curious, and he is always getting himself into trouble. He can untie shoelaces and regularly takes off the other horses' blankets or fly gear. He is best friends with Shorty and can usually be found standing in Shorty's shadow.
Banjo joined Hoofbeats in Harmony in early 2021. He is very quirky, and his facial expressions keep us laughing. He has a very good attitude and is up for trying just about anything. His big, bouncy trot is perfect for teaching children how to post. If you ask my students who their favorite horse is, the vast majority of them will answer “Mr. Banjo!”
Tango is a Paso Fino mare, which means that she is gaited. Gaited horses have special gaits that differ from a normal horse’s trot and canter. They are typically very smooth and comfortable to ride. She currently joins us for groundwork, liberty, and the occasional riding lesson for advanced riders. As she continues her training, she will start participating in more and more lessons.
Grace was gifted to my program in 2023 after the tragic and sudden loss of one of our lesson horses. She is a lovely Morgan mare with a very gentle and quiet nature. Even my most timid students find their confidence being around Grace. She loves children and will regularly give them hugs and kisses if they come close enough for her to reach.
Felix is the newest addition to my herd. I purchased him in 2023 to develop through the levels of dressage. He is a Polish Arabian/Belgian Warmblood with 3 lovely gaits and a very generous and willing personality. I am excited to continue developing him over the coming years.
Tee loves going for trail rides and getting belly scratches. Tee grew up on the same farm as Shorty. She was born in August, which is uncommon as most horses are born in the spring.
Sly is a very sensitive mare. She is extremely athletic and excels at western dressage. She loves being groomed and will share her joy by turning around and using her nose to rub the back of whoever is brushing her.
Tessa is a miniature horse. Her color is called Cremello which is a very rare color in horses. This color comes about when a chestnut horse has two copies of a creme gene. You may notice that she has very blue eyes.

Symphony was gifted to our program in early 2022. She was an Off the Track Thoroughbred, which means that she was a racehorse when she was young. At 17.2h she was a gentle giant. Her height may have been intimidating, but her heart was made of gold. Unfortunately, we lost her suddenly in 2023 to colic.
